CMAA Question: What do you love about the construction industry/CMAA?

Answer: The most enjoyable aspect of the construction industry for me is how it is constantly evolving and adapting. I’m learning something new each and every day. I’ve also found that you can learn something from almost anyone on the construction site. Whether it’s a new scheduling method from a project manager or a more efficient/safe method to cleaning up behind work from a laborer. Finally, the CMAA has played a great role in opening my eyes to the dynamic nature of the construction industry and new innovative methods to making our jobs easier and more efficient.

CMAA Question: What do you love about the construction industry/CMAA?

Answer: I currently work as a Senior Project Manager with Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. I am a registered Profession Engineer in Maryland, Delaware, and South Carolina. Since graduating from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2005 I have been working in the construction and transportation field. I have been fortunate to have had the experience of working on a wide range of major construction projects including signature bridges, tunnels, interstate roadways, wetland mitigation, beach restoration, as well as park and facilities sites. What I love the most about being in the construction industry and being a part of a group like CMAA is the opportunity to meet a variety of amazing people. The interactions, stories, and experiences with people I have met along my career has been the source so much professional and personal growth for me.  I have been blessed over the years to have had the opportunity to work besides and be mentored by other construction veterans in the industry. They inspired me to develop a strong work ethic, to do my best in everything I work on, respect others no matter what their background, and most importantly, have fun along the way.
